I'm voting for Hillary. Just made up my mind for sure today. I'm also voting for Jill Long Thompson for governor of Indiana.
Both women are brilliant. Both women are more experienced than their primary opponents. If elected to our nation's highest office, Hillary would have a short learning curve since she knows how politics work. She'd also have an experienced ex-president as her advisor and confidante. Don't underestimate the power of that.
As for Jill, I've been a fan since she ran against Dan Quayle in the mid eighties. She thinks for herself, though you might not know it from her TV commercials. Her diverse experience includes that of a teacher, councilman, congresswoman, farmer, and undersecretary of agriculture. She's also headed a non-profit and has advanced degrees in business.
I have heard both Barack Obama and Hillary Clinton speak. Though their platforms intersect at many common points, she has the better plan for leadership in health care.
So unless something happens to change my mind - and it still could- I'll be voting for the best candidates for the job on Tuesday, and those candidates are women.
